I am a 36 year old wife and mother of 2 boys (10 & 13), currently undertaking my 3rd year of teaching at USQ.  I live in remote mining town in Central Queensland and therefore undertake my studies through distance education.  My adventure into the world of blogging is due to the requirement of a course I am currently enrolled in – EDC3100 ICT & Pedagogy.  Although this is not something I would have probably begun on my own, I am hopeful that my experiences through this course will encourage me to continue with blogging as a way of expanding my Personal Learning Network as a move towards my goal of becoming a fully qualified teacher!

Whilst my role as a student keeps me busy, I also occupy my time working as a Teacher-Aide as well as that of Group Leader with my local Scout Group.  Who needs spare time anyway???
